Irish Tea Brack in a Jar

Photos of jars and baked Irish Tea Brack as promised. It is a great recipe to package in a jar. I packed flour and spices in plastic lunch bag on top of brown sugar and mixed fruit. Added two Irish Tea bags and gift wrapped. Instructions for making up and baking will be added to the tags later. I'll post recipe and the  instructions tomorrow.

For the Christmas tag I used Jolly by Golly by Cosmo Cricket and tag lifted from Danni Reid. I hope to make up the rest of the tags soon.  For the Halloween jar I just used bits and pieces left over from old paper sets. I think they are from My Minds Eye.

Happy Jar filling !

                                                                I AM A Baker

Have you ever seen a cuter Halloween pudding. I am so delighted I came across this site tonight. No paper crafting for me as I enjoy I am baker . A must for my favourites folder . I am working on packaging an Irish Tea Brack in one of my many  jars at the moment  and also preparing one ready for baking tomorrow. I'll photo and post with a sample packaged jar. Plan on making a half a dozen or so as  easy Halloween gifts.

Trick or Treats

A few photos posted today for a lady preparing for a fair in October.  Thanks to a crafty pal I have these photos to show. It was a fund raising event for a lovely talented young lady in the crafting community in Ireland in October 2009. I decided to just jump in, volunteer and participate. It was a worthy cause and made great use of my paper crafting hobby and stash. I had great fun and all items were very easy to make.

The coffins I downloaded from this site :
http://www.marthastewart.com/article/coffin-treat-box   I printed them on Kraft card stock, cut, stuck, filled with goodies, tied up with black string and embellished with cheap peel off stickers. The topper were just stamped and matted. I think the stamps were from Papertrey ink.

These cute gift boxes I downloaded the template from
http://www.papertreyink.com/mtt_foldngo_webview.html
I used some cheap papers from a Halloween party invitation pack to embellish and added the shaky eyes.

This Halloween prop looked good.  I am not sure if you can make out in this photo the little paper pumpkins. I got this idea and instructions from here
http://www.marthastewart.com/photogallery/halloween-treat-bags-and-favors
I made some witches brooms see above link but they must have sold before the photo was taken.

The goody bags to the left of the picture were simply cello bags filled with goodies, with long strips of black cardstock wrapped around them, stapled and then embellished with cheap patterned paper, a stamped and matted topper and some cheap peel off stickers.
The props were great. They made an otherwise simple white tablecloth table a bit more dramatic and inviting.

I love the name of this site.  Angie regularly streams online live.  I enjoy her videos. She is so funny.

It's a bit tricky to get the hang of the corners but stick with it cause it is worth it. I love these. They went down a treat at Halloween with my nieces pals.

Halloween Trick or Treats

I started fund raising early as times are difficult and many charities are experiencing great demands on their resources.
I came across this OH SO SIMPLE idea of sour cream containers  here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/
and just had to try it. When I saw these wonderful papers    http://www.g45papers.com/category-s/50.htm  I knew they would be perfect.

I made  8 baskets full. For the last three I ran out of black ribbon for bows and used left over black netting fabric. I thought the  fabric was more successful. Sorry I don't have photos of net bows. I sold the baskets from 15 to 25 euro  each depending on size and the individual trick or treats for 2 euro each or 3 for 5 euro.
